Let's Not Crow Just Yet

Kerry made an awful stupid mistake, but in my opinion, it was just a mistake.

Is it coming at a good time? Maybe. Maybe not.

Keep in mind that many, many people were surprised and upset over the last elections.

Sore losers? You bet.

Just a bunch of losers? I don't know.

Our system is "Checks and Balances." Most notably the two-party system.

George W. Bush has been in for two terms, and there has to be a change. Not negotiable.

Kerry is still the Dems most viable candidate. So they already have a basis on which to build. That alone puts them one step ahead. One step may be enough.

Can we provide a candidate with enough charisma, knowledge and experience to guarantee the presidency? One strong enough to beat Kerry?

I wish we did.

Yes we can -- check out Congressman Duncan Hunter of California. I used to live half a mile from his office in El Cajon. He announced this week his candidacy for the presidential nomination. This guy is outstanding and I think he would make a great president.

Here is the problem ... Kerry, well, he finally told the truth. He REALLY hates the military. Then he lied and said he likes them. It's a horrible way to live your life. Frankly though, as a Republican, I'm ashamed of my party. I'm more of a libertarian ... a Reagan Republican. You know, small government ... constitutionalist. Get back to basics of Life, Liberty and the persuit of happiness please. Close the borders and protect our citizens. Hell, I'd vote for JFK if his doppleganger were to run under the democrat banner. But alas, we have 2 evils and we need to choose betwix them.

The problem is this:

If we can't provide a good candidate, then if the Dems dig up someone good-looking, smiley, and not too stupid, we will lose the seesaw vote.

I don't want to lose the seesaw vote because that is how we won the last election.
