First in a Series

Called Ellie Visits.

Boring videos by an adoring GrammaDog. This is what happens when we don't have grandchildren.

Ellie wends her way through the underbrush of the Strand along the Chemung River.

This is the best we can do for now. It's raw footage. I haven't even installed the editing software yet!

Oh this is so cool. Gives me a feel for what your area is like in both sight and sound. Ellie is so cute and it's neat to hear your voice.

Do more soon!

My, how happy Ellie looks, being able to forage through the undergrowth, then to come up to you, tail wagging, to tell you what a good time she had.

Husband Mark and I went down to the Mississippi River to relax last Saturday afternoon. While he sat and read a book, I, like Ellie, wandered off into the undergrowth, but I brought my binoculars. I saw a young robin that still had its spots, three large woodpeckers, a lot of big woodpecker cavities in the trees, and four orioles, besides lots of birds that the light didn't catch good enough, so I couldn't identify them. (Unfortunately, didn't see any Indigo Buntings this time; maybe it's too early in the season.)

After my foray, I hurried back to tell Mark all about my exploits and sitings. Only difference between me and Ellie--my tail wasn't wagging.

I sure hope you, your daughter, and everyone else who caught the virus, or whatever it was, is healthy again. How scary!
